Head Start (3 - 5 years) & Early Head Start (0 - 3 years)
- In Head Start and Early Head Start Programs, we serve families with children ages birth to 5. Our health and wellness services for children include: Supporting Kindergarten Readiness through play, creative expression, and guided activities; serving breakfast, lunch, and healthy snacks; providing medical, dental, hearing, vision, and behavioral screenings; providing social-emotional and disability services for children in need; and helping families find assistance in challenging times.
- Open Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (breakfast, lunch and snack provided)
Prevention Initiative (PI) Services for Children Age 2 & Under
- PI provides early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development and family support services to families with children age 2 and under. PI is administered by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and funded under the Early Childhood Block Grant (ECBG).
- Under the PI Grant, Southern Seven serves Expectant Parents and offers Home-Based Services to families with children in Union County.
